2023-2024 SEASON

Classes for Pre-School

(Ages 0 - 5)

Baby, Music & Me (Birth - 12 Months)

Sound is one of the first senses a baby develops, beginning before they are even born! Use this skill to strengthen their mind-body connection in a fun, interactive setting that gets them moving. Through music and movement, interact with your baby while strengthening their development and the bond between you.

Move With Me (1 - 3 Years)

Curious by nature, toddlers are always learning with every interaction they have. Fuel their curiosity and help them grow with fun and exciting musical activities that boost their creativity, confidence, and development!

Beginner Dance (3 - 5 Years)

Children aged 3 - 5 will learn the skills needed for later dance classes, including direction (left, right, up, and down), moving their bodies in different ways (walk, run, skip, gallop, etc.), moving to the rhythm, and more!

Fundamental Dance & Music
(Ages 5 - 17)

Fundamental Dance

  • Two classes a week

  • Ballet is recommended for all students, as it is the foundation for all other dance styles. Please discuss with our team if you would like to look at other options.

  • Other classes that can be included: Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Modern Dance, Parterre Gymnastics, and Hip Hop (ages 10+)

Fundamental Music

  • Alongside Private Instruction or Group Voice, we recommend our Fundamental students attend our new Music Makers group class, which will focus on Theory, Ear Training, and creating music through composition, improvisation and with a group.  

Dance Programs
Apprentice, Peak Performer and Elite Artist Levels

Apprentice Dance

  • Two classes a week minimum 

  • Ballet is recommended for all students. Please discuss with our team if you would like to look at other options.

  • Other classes that can be included: Jazz, Tap, Broadway Jazz, Modern Dance, Parterre Gymnastics, Acro and Hip Hop / Commercial 

  • Performance at Student Recital

  • 2 - 3 year program length

  • 1 - 2 class hours per week

Peak Performer

  • Three classes per week minimum 

  • Ballet is recommended for all students. Please discuss with our team if you would like to look at other options.

  • Other classes that can be included: Jazz, Tap, Broadway Jazz, Modern Dance, Parterre Gymnastics, Acro and Hip Hop / Comercial

  • Additional Performances at Christmas Show and Special Events

  • May qualify for Performance Team (Jr Dance Team or Jr. Triple Threat)

  • 2 - 3 years program length

  • 2 - 5 class hours per week

 
Elite Artist

  • Three classes per week minimum 

  • Ballet is recommended for all students. Please discuss with our team if you would like to look at other options.

  • Other classes that can be included: Jazz, Tap, Broadway Jazz, Modern Dance, Parterre Gymnastics, Acro and Hip Hop / Comercial

  • Additional Performances at Christmas Show and Special Events

  • May qualify for Pre-Pointe / Pointe

  • May qualify for Performance Team (Sn Dance Team or Sn Triple Threat)

  • May qualify for Assistant Teaching Opportunities

  • 3 - 4 year program length

  • 2 - 6 class hours per week

Levelled Program

  • Dance students move through our four levels (Fundamental, Apprentice, Peak Performer and Elite Artist) with evaluations taking place in August and January

  • Students receive a pin with each level that is completed (white, pink, purple and black)

Competitive
Dance Team

Junior Dance Team (7 - 12 Years)

This competitive dance team for ages 7 - 12 is by invitation only. This group will compete in a dance competition in St. John's in the spring of 2024.​

Senior Dance Team (13 - 17 Years)

​This competitive dance team for ages 13 - 17 is an auditioned program for students in Level II Dance or higher, or students of our Senior Triple Threat program. This team will compete in a dance competition in St. John's in the Spring of 2024. Contact our team to discuss the audition process.

Triple Threat
Dance. Sing. Act.

Little Triple Threat Prep (7 - 9 Years)

  • Act, dance, and sing in this preparatory Triple Threat Program for ages 7 - 9​

  • Includes a Triple Threat Class that focuses on both ensemble singing and acting and Broadway Jazz 

  • This a prerequisite for our Junior Triple Threat Program

Triple Threat Prep (10 - 127Years)

  • ​Act, dance, and sing in this preparatory Triple Threat Program for ages 10+

  • Includes Acting, Choir and Broadway Jazz

  • Students MUST complete at least 6 months of this program, or have completed the Little Triple Threat program in order to audition for Junior or Senior Triple Threat

Junior Triple Threat (10 - 12 Years)

  • ​This intensive, pre-professional program incorporates Junior Acting, Choir,  Triple Threat Class, Broadway Jazz and one additional Dance Class

  • By audition. Students wishing to enter the Junior Triple Threat Program must have completed at least 6 months of  Triple Threat Prep, and be at least 10 years old to audition, or at the discretion of the Nomad Staff .

Senior Triple Threat (13+ Years)

  • ​This intensive, pre-professional program incorporates Senior Acting, Choir, Senior Triple Threat Class, Broadway Jazz, and one additional Dance Class

  • By audition. Students wishing to enter the Triple Threat Program must have completed at least six months the Triple Threat Prep program, and be at least 13 years old to audition, or at the discretion of the Nomad Staff.

STEAM, Costume Design, Art & Makeup

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Music) (K - 6)

Participate in hands-on learning with our STEAM Program! Learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in a fun and engaging group setting.​

Art & Design (K - 6)

​Create various styles of art!

Acting (6+ Years)

​Study acting in a fun and interactive class in three age groups—Little (ages 6 - 9), Junior (ages 10 - 12), and Senior (ages 13+)!

Adult Programs
Act, Sing, Dance & More!

Adult Musical Theatre Production 2024 (Grease!)

  • Participate Nomad Stages' Adult Production of Grease! in April 2024​

  • Auditions will take place July 2023, with rehearsals beginning in the Fall

  • It is recommended that participants also register for one of our adult dance classes—we will have a special bundled price for both the production and a dance class

Adult Tap Dance Classes

  • We will offer a weekly Adult Tap class, where adults participate in a weekly tap class. Socialize and have fun while getting exercise!

​

Adult Dance Team​

  • Participate Nomad Stages' Adult Dance Team, which meets twice a week for one hour in the summer, and once a week for a two hour block starting in the fall

  • This group will compete in the Dance Quest competition in St. John's in May, 2024

  • The style of dance will be chosen by the instructor, in consultation with the group members, based on their strengths and interests

Recreational Choral Programs

Join our Director of Music, Alba Chen, in our Youth and Adult Choirs! Our choirs perform multiple times throughout the year, both for competition and recreation.
