🔥 A little plot twist for our 2027 junior production… 🔥 Many of you may remember that we previously hinted at Trolls as a possible junior production option for 2027. While that was one show we were exploring, an exciting new opportunity came up—and we think this one could be even bigger. ✨ How to Train Your Dragon JR. ✨ We are now considering this as our junior musical for early May 2027, and we’re opening an interest registration for performers ages 7–17 before making it official. This production requires a large cast of 30+ performers, which means exciting opportunities for students of all ages and experience levels. 🐉 Younger performers will have the chance to gain valuable stage experience, build confidence, and be part of a large-scale production. ⚔️ Older performers will have opportunities for featured roles, leadership moments, and challenging material that allows them to shine. 💃 We are also exploring the possibility of including a dance intensive ensemble, similar to what we did in The Prince of Egypt, which could create additional opportunities for dancers who want to be heavily featured in movement-based storytelling. One of the reasons we love this show is that it truly offers something for everyone—it gives younger students room to grow while ensuring older students continue to be challenged with meaningful opportunities. 🎶 Timeline: Some choreography and music preparation would begin in Fall 2026, with full rehearsals beginning in March 2027 leading into performances in early May 2027. Before we officially move forward, we want to gauge interest and ensure we have enough performers to make this production possible.
